THE ROOTS
My journey started in Computer Engineering Technology, where I was trained to understand the backend logic of software. But while writing code, I realized I was far more interested in designing the layouts than just making the programs run. Even before I knew ‘UI/UX’ was a career path, I was instinctively obsessing over hierarchy, spacing, and visual order. I quickly discovered that my engineering background wasn’t a distraction from design—it gave me a rock-solid foundation to build interfaces that are deeply organized and functional.
THE SHIFT
In 2025, during my OJT internship as a Designer Intern at a tech startup, my curiosity turned into a real career path. Working on actual MVPs and layout redesigns allowed me to apply structured engineering thinking directly to user interfaces. This was where I developed my philosophy of Technical Empathy: designing with a deep respect for developer constraints and human frustration. Over the past year, I’ve focused heavily on system-first design—mastering 8px grids, component states, and pixel-perfect files to ensure that whatever I design can be coded effortlessly.
THE DRIVE
Understanding that great products need to balance technical logic with a calm user experience has shaped how I approach every Figma canvas. Outside of design, I find my rhythm in dance and a sense of grounding around animals. Dance taught me that smooth transitions and timing matter just as much in a mobile interface as they do on a stage. As I move forward, I am looking to join engineering-minded product teams where I can use systematic design to turn complex digital chaos into clean, intuitive tools.
